Release Day!

It's finally here! I've been working on my first contribution to Kristen Painter's Nocturne Falls Universe since February, and now it's all ready with its pretty pink cover. Isn't it gorgeous.

Here's a little about the story:
Palm reader Darcy Kumar is cursed. She'll be dead within a year, so why bother with love? After a brush with death she resolves not to squander what little time she has left. So when sexy firefighter Aiden Becker asks her out, she accepts. As long as she doesn't have a child, the curse will end with her demise.
A Kachina healer and the last of his line, Aiden is compelled to pass along his gift to future generations. He doesn't believe in the curse that Darcy thinks will finish her, but he has second thoughts after she has several close calls. He starts suspecting that her near misses aren't accidents at all.
When they enlist the help of a powerful local witch, they learn there are even more sinister forces at work than just a curse. Someone's gunning for Darcy. Will they find out who before it's too late?

Happy Release Day to Me!

Does it ever get any less exciting? I love when my books release. It's like giving birth without all the pain and suffering;-) Belle Behind Bars will be my very first story under the Taboo banner at Ellora's Cave.

This story is special to me in another way, though. Part of the story takes place in a county jail, a setting where DH—who calls himself my "Head of R&D"—has been working for many years.

In celebration of the release, I will give one commenter a free download of the story. Here's the blurb:

Jail Sergeant RJ “Ram” Ramsey is incensed when he learns he’s losing a promotion to a less-qualified woman who’s learned all she knows about the job from behind a desk.

Lieutenant Belle Buchanan has a lot to learn. Ram has been an enigma to her since he threw her over years earlier. When they end up alone together, the attraction that first drew her to him flares hot. She wants the hunky sergeant to master her in other, more intimate ways.
