Welcome, Maureen and thanks for stopping by today. I can't wait to read your brand new book, Endless Night.
How long have you been writing? Did you always know you wanted to be a writer?
It feels like I have been writing since sometime in the late 1700’s, but in actuality on a dedicated level it has been about ten years. I always wanted to be a writer, but it’s not as simple a task as some people make it out to be. Nine years ago I received a Golden Heart nomination from RWA, which at that naïve time I thought would open all sorts of doors for me, but I learned like everyone else that nothing comes easy. You have to persevere and maintain a day job while your writing is still in the ‘hobby’ stage.
What genres do you stick to?
Romantic Suspense has always been my forte, but the novel I am currently working on is more of a romantic adventure, along the lines of Indiana Jones…but maybe with a little more heat.
Do you read the same type of books that you write?
Absolutely. I am very fond of the genre and the bevy of talented authors out there inspires me in my field.
Where are you from? Tell us a bit about your home life.
I am a bit of a mutt. I am from New Jersey but have spent a vast amount of time in the Tampa region, and I now reside in North Carolina. This mixture provides the components for a unique accent.
Home life is all about writing until football season comes around. I am a die-hard Tampa Bay Buccaneer fan, and you can rest assured that on Sundays in the fall I have to take a time out from the keyboard.
Tell us about your current release.
ENDLESS NIGHT is a romantic suspense with a gothic feel to it. The gothic influence comes from the dark setting on the blustery Maine coast in a sinister mansion perched on the cliffs. The heroine, Megan Summers is hiding in the most remote place she can find after having witnessed a murder in Boston. Jake Grogan shows up on her doorstep with a letter in his hand from a woman claiming to be his biological mother. The woman has told him to locate his grandmother in the very house Megan is now occupying. A storm stands Jake there with Megan and together they band to discover his heritage and to battle her enemy.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
At a poolside with a margarita in my hand. I see myself there tomorrow as well, but neither will probably happen.
In ten years I hope to be doing what I enjoy doing the most…writing romantic suspense.

Thank you for having me here today, Wynter. And congratulations on the success of Protective Custody.
Thanks you! I'm excited that you're here, Maureen. I'm enjoying Endless Night on audio book!
Audiobook? All that steam in sound? YEAH BABY!
Great interview Wynter. Funny and informative.
Maureen, I have you in my queue! I'm hoping to finish it this afternoon in time to review it for tomorrow!
Have a great day guys! How fun! (great site)!
I think I should listen to audio books all the time, and then turn up the volume on those steamy parts and see just how deep into the couch the other half will shrink. :)
Thank you, Bonnie. Gosh, girl...you are fast!
Love the premise of the book, and the cover is absolutely fabulous. Congratulations, again, on the release. This is definitely going in by TBR pile.
Thank you, Kathy. You know what I always say about TBR piles? They're like a big bowl of spaghetti, and you don't think that you can possibly finish it...and yet you do. LOL
Goodd share
